The laid-back rooms feature free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. They also have tea and coffeemakers, minibars and terraces with garden, river or pool views. Some rooms have canopied beds. Room service is on offer.

Arrive at Denpasar. Upon arrival, our travel guide meets you and are chauffeured to the Champlung Sari Hotel, in Ubud, in your private air-conditioned vehicle.

About Denpasar International Airport

Denpasar International Airport, also known as Ngurah Rai International Airport, is the main airport in Bali, located 13 km south of Denpasar. Ngurah Rai is the third busiest airport in Indonesia after Soekarno–Hatta International Airport and Juanda International Airport. In 2011 Ngurah Rai International Airport recorded 39,509 international and 64,262 domestic flights which carried 6,177,044 and 6,594,830 passengers respectively. The 2011 passengers were doubled within 5 years. The airport has category IX and is capable of serving aircraft up to the size of Boeing 747-400.

The airport is named after I Gusti Ngurah Rai, a Balinese hero who died on 20 November 1946 in a puputan (fight to the death war) against the Dutch at Marga in Tabanan where the Dutch defeated his company with air support, killing Rai and 95 others during the Indonesian Revolution in 1946.

Ubud, Bali Cooking Class (Breakfast and lunch included)

After breakfast, we take an early morning drive to the local market to get products needed for the cooking class. A local guide helps us to get everything and talks about the cuisine of Bali. We then go to a local family and visit the neighborhood. With the help of locals, we prepare lunch using the ingredients we bought at the market.

After lunch, you will have free time for leisure, or any other activity you wish to partake on your own time.

About Balinese Cuisine

Balinese cuisine is a cuisine tradition of Balinese people from the volcanic island of Bali. Using an incredible variety of spices, blended with the fresh vegetables, meat and fish. Part of Indonesian cuisine, it demonstrates indigenous traditions, as well as influences from other Indonesian regional cuisine, Chinese and Indian. The island’s inhabitants are predominantly Hindu and culinary traditions are somewhat distinct with the rest of Indonesia, with festivals and religious celebrations including many special foods prepared as the offerings for the deities, as well as other dishes consumed communally during the celebrations.

Rice, the primary grain is almost always consumed as a staple accompanied with vegetables, meat and seafood. Pork, chicken, fruit, vegetables and seafood are widely utilized, however just like most of Hindus, beef is never or rarely consumed.

Tampak Siring , Kintamani & Sebatu Temple (Breakfast included)

This is going to be busy, but, fun, day, as we will be visiting numerous history-rich sites. After breakfast, we will start by visiting Gunung Kawi Temple and then proceed to the Tampak Siring village and the Tirta Empul Temple. We will then visit the Batur (Kintamani) Volcano and Lake Batur. We will stop for lunch (cost not included in the tour package). After lunch we will head on to visit the Sebatu Temple. If we still have time, we will proceed to witness and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Tegalalang Rice Terrace.

About Tampak Siring

Tampaksiring is a town in central Bali, Gianyar Regency, Indonesia. It is the home to the Gunung Kawi Temple and archaeological site and the Senang Hati Foundation.

The word “Tampak” in Balinese means foot, while “Siring” means Oblique. According to the legend the slope of the mountain where the town stands today, was created by footstep of a king named Mayadenawa. Tampaksiring was also one of the major kingdom during Bali’s pre-colonial period. The town is home to Tirta Empul Temple.

 

Durka Kutri Temple (Breakfast included)

After breakfast, we will start our day by a visit to the Durga Kutri Temple. We will enter the town of Gianyar, and on the right side of the road, there is a small hill covered by giant trees. These trees are called Bukit Darma, where the temple of Durga Kutri lies. We will go through a small door beside the main gate of the temple and be able to reach the inner part by ascending a 113 step stairway and find the holiest shrine.

We then proceed to Kerta Gosa Royal Court, have lunch (not included in this tour package price). After lunch, we visit Pura Besakih temple complex and observe the traditional sea salt farming on Kusamba beach, Tenganan village.

About Durga Kutri Temple

At Durga Kutri Temple, a small door beside the main gate of the temple takes you to the inner part by ascending a 113 step stairway and find the holiest shrine.

This shrine is believed to be the original burial place for Ratu (Queen) Gunapriya.  Gunapriya, who came to Bali from Java and ruled this island till her death in 1006 AD. She is also known as “Mahendradatta”, the mother of famous king Airlangga from East Java.

In this temple, she is represented in the statue as Durga herself, the wife of Shiva, with her six arms, standing on top of the bull Nandi; her husband bull.

Ubud – Sanur (Breakfast included)

After breakfast, there will be some free time. Then we travel to Sanur and check-in at the Puri Santrian Hotel. Your evening will be yours to enjoy as you choose.
